The hunt for the opposition in Azerbaijan continues. An activist of the Popular Front Party Shahin Alizadeh was arrested for 30 days on charges of resisting the police the day before in the city of Shirvan. According to the deputy chairman of the party Geza Bayramli, the authorities continue the tactics of political repression. Instead of solving social and economic problems that put protesters across the country, the government arrest opposition leaders, accusing them of imperfect crimes, she said. The wave of protests of population against price hike population and the difficult economic situation are ongoing for several days in different regions of Azerbaijan.
