Baku/24.12.22/Turan: Calling himself the “State Minister of Karabakh”, Ruben Vardanyan made it clear that he was not going to leave Karabakh. He told RBC about this, commenting on the demand of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister that Vardanyan should leave the region, since his activities "are of a criminal and adventurous nature."
According to him, he has been traveling to Karabakh for 20 years and his grandmother is from Hadrut. Vardanyan even noted that he organized the restoration of the mosque in Shusha. “I have a house here, and I don’t really understand why I have to leave here. He always did everything so that the peoples of Artsakh and the Republic of Azerbaijan could live side by side, but not together. This is the only opportunity for all parties to avoid conflict,” Vardanyan said.
At the same time, he did not comment on the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that the Karabakh Armenians disrupted the visit of Azerbaijani specialists to the gold mine in Karabakh, agreed with the Russian peacekeepers. Vardanyan also made it clear that he did not agree that the passage along the Lachin road would be controlled by the Azerbaijani side. -02D-
