Action on Lachin road – day 40
Baku/20.01.23/Turan: Today is the 40th day of the action of civil activists on the Khankandi-Lachin road at the checkpoint near Shusha.
During the day, several trucks and passenger cars of Russian peacekeepers passed in both directions. Today, the theme of the action was touched upon by the Minister of Ecology of Azerbaijan Mukhtar Babayev. In an interview with journalists, he emphasized that the action will continue and monitoring at the gold mines in Karabakh be conducted.
Recall that the action began on December 12 after the Armenian side disrupted the monitoring by specialists of the Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan at two mines in the former Mardakert region. In response, a large group of activists and environmentalists blocked the road, allowing only the transport of Russian peacekeepers and civilians traveling to and from Armenia. -02B-

The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.

The United States and the European Union, which tried to position themselves as mediators in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict, have come up with nothing and merely copied Russia's ideas, distorting their essence in order to "hijack" the peace process for themselves. However, their true goal was to take control of the region, to insert themselves into it, and to push out Russia, as well as Iran and Türkiye, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a briefing on November 13.
