Major inspections of small enterprises
The Ministry of Economic Development continues to test small-scale production of cement. According to the results of inspections of five of them prosecuted for unfair competition, but on the measures taken are not reported.
On December 24, the Ministry of Economic spread information identified by the State Service antitrust Consumer Protection (GSAPZPP) deficiencies in the audit firms in the manufacturing shop floor Lachin-1. Violations are almost the same as in the previous cement plants: no certificate of conformity to the state standard, providing false information to consumers on the appointment of the cement, the mismatch weight parameters to the declared data, etc.
Prior to that, the Ministry of Economic Development spread incriminating data on manufacturing activity in the LLC "Qaradag-AND", "Qaradag-S", "Qaradag-H" and "AM Emal Senaye ". Turan correspondent appealed to the leadership LLC "Qaradag-AND" to comment on the situation after the identified deficiencies.
Chief accountant Jawahir Suleymanova said that none of the Company attributable to the "Qaradag-AND" claim was not true. Therefore, any measures in relation to the enterprise were taken. Note that on November 29 press office MED reported that the verification of cement in this venture is its own laboratory, which has not passed the state accreditation, the final product labels for proper use of cement without reference to regulatory and technical documents, as well as bags are not stated gross and net production.
Chairman of the Association of Free Consumers of Azerbaijan Eyyub Huseynov told Turan that the activities of GSAPZPP flawed. "Dissemination of information about the checks" without delay "does a great blow to the confidence of consumers in the local production, which needs government support," he said. Huseynov said that on this occasion he was on September 11 of this year, addressed to the head of state with a proposal to coordinate government agencies supervising, checking which should not lead to the weakening and complete halt domestic production.
Note that the subject of monopoly of cement production in Azerbaijan is Holcim (Azerbaycan) (Garadagh cement plant), which sells annually about 1.3 million tons of production at the level of the local market at around 3-3.5 million tonnes per year. Currently in the Garadagh and Gazakh regions there are constructed two major cement plants. - 08B-

In Azerbaijan, the government has increasingly relied on tax exemptions for imported goods as a tool to stabilize domestic market prices. The exemption from the 18% VAT on wheat imports, extended this year, exemplifies this approach. New measures have also been introduced, including tax relief on imports of electric vehicle chargers, while exemptions for high-cost medications are currently under discussion. Notably, defense imports continue to be free from taxes and customs duties.
