Manufacture of Tobacco Products Increased by 2 Times
Within 10 months of this year Azerbaijan produced 1 657 800 000 cigarettes, which is 2.4 times more than in the comparable period of 2013. Improved production performance of European Tobacco-Baku.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-October this year, the volume of production of tobacco products totaled 20,850,800 packets, which is twice the figure for the same period last year. The main part of the imported cigarettes comes from the CIS countries. For example, in the first half of this year from foreign countries were imported 429.1 million cigarettes (21.4 million packets) worth $ 15.6 million. --08B--
