Moscow and Baku Still Agree on Expansion of Export of Azerbaijani Agricultural Goods
Yesterday there was a meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in Moscow.
The working group in agriculture agreed on expanding cooperation in the sphere of supply of local agricultural goods to Russia, said the Ministry of Economy of AR.
In addition, the parties discussed the inclusion of meat and dairy companies into the roster for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision. They also discussed more favorable export conditions for the expansion of Azeri fruits and vegetables to Russia, and the acceleration of the electronic exchange procedures between the two countries phytosanitary and veterinary certificates.
Following the meeting, a positive assessment was given to cooperation between the relevant authorities of the two countries in the field of agriculture.
Recall, the head of the group from the Azerbaijani side is Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mamedov, and from the Russian side - Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergey Levin. In the first quarter, according to the Russian Embassy (http://azerbaijan.mid.ru/torgovo-ekonomiceskie-svazi), the total bilateral trade amounted to $ 707.3 million. Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
