Net Profit of JSC Azerlotereya Decreased by 6.3%
In 2014, the revenues of Azerlotereya from the sale of lottery tickets totaled 28 million 514 thousand manats. This is 5.8% more than in 2012. At the same time profitability of the state monopoly of replicable and instant lotteries since 2001 last year was only 6.5%.
According to the audited financial statements of the JSC, in 2014, the sales amounted to 26 million 764.8 thousand manats. Taking into account the operating (580.9 thousand manats) and financial (141.7 thousand manats) income, the pretax profit amounted to 2 million 471.9 thousand manats, 6.3% less than in 2013. Net income from the state lottery business amounted to 1 million 977.5 thousand manats. Earnings decreased by 132.7 thousand manats.
Retained earnings of Azerlotereya by the end of 2014 amounted to about 5 million manats.
Total in 2014 there were sold 28,888,800 lottery tickets. The winning tickets sold amounted to 18 million 190 thousand manats or 63.8% of their value.
In 2014, taking into account tax profit, Azerlotereya transferred to the state budget and extra budgetary funds 1 million 142.3 thousand manats.
In 2012, the number of cars played out was 189 units (total cost - 2 million 392 thousand manats), or 12 units more than in 2013 (2 million 345.7 thousand manats).

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
