SOCAR TO INSTALL SMART-CARD GAS METERS
SOCAR has 1.2 million of gas customers in Azerbaijan. Meters will be installed at 250,000 of them in 2010. The meters will let SOCAR facilitate and increase the collection of fees from the customers.
Abdullayev said the devices would be first installed in Baku and the neighboring settlements.
SOCAR is upgrading Azerbaijan"s gas grids. The gasification of Azerbaijan"s settlements will be raised from the current 82% to 95% by 2013. --14В--
