State Insurance Company does not intend to be the market leader
The premiums collected by the state commercial insurance company Azersigorta in the first half 2014 amounted to 18.9249 million manat (+2.7% as of 1 July last year).
According to Avtandil Hajiyev, first deputy general director of the financial structure, the highest share belongs to compulsory insurance - 17,099,900 manats, while on voluntary insurance they collected 1.825 million manat of premiums.
In January-June, the company produced insurance payments in the amount of 6.6358 million manat (+5.2%). From the total payments voluntary insurance was 671,700 manat and compulsory insurance was 5,964,100 manats.
By the end of this year the company plans to raise 40 million manat of premiums.
