The Amount of Data Received by FMS Increased a Third in January -August
BAKU/11.09.13/TURAN : In the Financial Monitoring Service (FMS ) under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in August 2013 received 32,438 pieces of information on suspicious and current accounts, which is 15.7 % less than the previous month.
According to the service , within eight months of this year, they received 212,696 data. In comparison with January-August 2012 the figure rose to 52,896 units , or 33.1 percent.
Financial Monitoring Service operates since 2009 and is the body responsible for state policy in the field of combating money laundering and terrorist financing. - 15B -
