The turnover of the national payment system has exceeded 100 billion manats
Credit organizations of Azerbaijan met in November 2012 in 2264 one thousand money orders totaling $ 10,408 mln. As the number of payments by 80 000 (3.4%), the total turnover has increased from the previous month to 547 million manat.
Compared with the corresponding period last year, the number of payments in January-November increased 6.354 million or 36.8% to 23,615,000, and their volume increased by 15,106 million or 16.8% to 104,772 million manat.
In the structure of payment transactions in January-November, the share of large and urgent payments was 1.8% (432 thousand) of the total number and 90.5% (94,808 mln) of the total. The average size of this category of payments decreased compared to November 2011 by 5.8% to 201,400 manat, and small and medium size retail payments grew by 20.9% to 515.8 manat.
As of December 1, 2012 payment system users were 54 organizations, 50 of which could make large and urgent payments. - 15B -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
