Burghalter supports intensification of negotiations on Karabakh
The OSCE chairman, Swiss President Didier Burghalter called for intensified negotiations for a peaceful settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict. He said about it on June 28 at the opening of the 23rd session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Baku, answering questions from MPs. He expressed hope for the restoration of the "process of constructive negotiations" on the Karabakh settlement. At the same time, he expressed support for the idea to bring to the negotiating process intermediaries "high level", and also called for the involvement in the peace process of civil society representatives.
