Today, the CEC has registered four more candidates in the presidential election on October 9: the head of the Popular Front of United Azerbaijan, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of the "Modern Musavat" party, Hafiz Hajiyev, the leader of the Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh, and the head of the party National Revival Movement, Faraj Guliyev.
Previously registered are current President, Ilham Aliyev, the leader of "Umid" party, Iqbal Agazade, and MP Zahid Oruc.
The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Fuad Aliyev, was not registered because there were 8,000 invalid signatures.
CEC should consider signature lists of six more candidates for the presidency.—06D--

Complaints about the early parliamentary elections received by the Central Election Commission from the 22nd Nasimi-Yasamal, 31st Surakhani second and 78th Lankaran rural constituencies will be seriously investigated. Today, journalist-investigator Khafiz Babaly, who was arrested in connection with the “Abzas Media” case, was informed of the completion of the preliminary investigation, the journalist's relatives reported. The Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan has called on the public to get vaccinated against the flu. According to the announcement, to strengthen preventive and anti-epidemic measures against influenza and ARVI (acute respiratory viral infections), safe and high-quality seasonal flu vaccines produced by “Abbott” have been imported into the country. Vaccination will begin on September 10, 2024.
