Erdogan"s Adviser to Be Chief of Anadolu?
After cleaning the political field of Turkey, President Erdogan began to attack the media. The day before up to 30 opposition journalists were arrested and accused of preparing a coup d'etat.
Today it was announced that the Erdogan government spokesman Senol Kazanchi will be appointed the head of the main state news agency Anadolu.
Like many colleagues of Erdogan, Kazanchi has religious education.
Until 2011, he worked in the newspaper Yeni Safak, the organ of the ruling party.
According to observers, the appointment of Kazanchi would mean the end of neutrality of Anadolu, when refreshing the socio-political events in the country.
The main purpose and the main tradition of this agency founded in 1920 were the neutrality and balance in supply of information.
The Turkish press has called this appointment as continued process of assault on the independent press and the suppression of pluralism in the media.
The struggle for the formation of public opinion in Turkey is entering a new phase, according to local observers. -05D-
