Neutral Turkmenistan suddenly reveals military readiness
By order of the President of Turkmenistan, a sudden check of combat readiness of the armed forces and other power structures of the country has been launched suddenly. According to the official press service of the Turkmen leader, rapidly deployed military headquarters and units of the Ground Forces, Air Force, Air Defense Forces has developed, and the Navy is brought into a state of combat readiness.
"At the same time, were involved aircrafts, helicopters, drones, warships and support ships. Missile and artillery armament, military and special equipment that are on long-term storage, have been reactivated and has also been involved in combat missions, the command set. According to the order, the military units of the national army will make a march in established training centers for military and tactical exercises. The main purpose of the exercise is to work out a joint action of all the armed forces," the report says.
At the same time, the country's naval exercises in the Caspian Sea began on March 26. Navy ships conducted training shooting at sea and air targets imaginary enemy. A landing of marines to destroy conventional enemy paratroopers who had landed in the coastal zone was conducted, the report reads.
It should be noted that Turkmenistan was not originally included in any block, and declared neutrality. However, in recent years the country has consistently started arming, purchasing modern weapons and a variety of systems.
The Turkmen president was the only one of all the Caspian countries, which expressed concern about missile launches from the water area of the Caspian Sea on the Russian ships in Syria.
The launches were carried out near the Iranian city of Anzali, in the immediate vicinity of the territory of Azerbaijan. However, Baku pretended not to notice dozens of medium-range missiles that are launched from under its nose. -02D-
