Opposition leaders about the idea of nominating several candidates
The leader of the Musavat Party, Isa Gambar welcomes the idea of a single candidate from the National Council, Rustam Ibragimbekov, to nominate several candidates from the opposition in the presidential election.
The leader of Musavat noted that the National Council will work to nominate a single candidate not representing a particular political party.
"If this option is not passed, then another option would be developed.
Any force, which considers itself ready for elections, may nominate a candidate, if they cannot agree to identify the main candidate. But from this number of candidates we will try to choose a single candidate," said Isa Gambar.
In turn, the leader of the Popular Front Party, Ali Kerimli, considers it necessary to support the candidacy of Ibragimbekov. He believes that the issue of his exit from Russian citizenship is to be resolved. If it is not, then the nomination of another candidate would be possible.
He believes that everyone should be prepared to make concessions on the definition of a new single candidate. -05D04-
