The visit of Mehriban Aliyeva to France
Baku / 13.03.19 / Turan: On March 12, within the framework of the official visit to France, Azerbaijan"s First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva met with the chairman of the Senate of this country Gerard Larcher.
According to the official report, the chairman of the Senate noted that France is interested in developing cooperation between Azerbaijan.
Mehriban Aliyeva noted that during her visit to France, she held a number of fruitful meetings with a view to strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
She called on French companies to be more active in Azerbaijan, noting the high level of Azerbaijan"s ties with the European Union in the light of the signing of the Partnership Priorities document between the parties.
Referring to the solution of the Karabakh problem, Aliyeva noted the need to solve it within the framework of the norms of international law and the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
On the same day, Aliyeva met with the President of the National Assembly of France, Richard Ferrand. He expressed interest in the development of ties between the parliaments of the two countries in order to better popularize the rich history and culture of Azerbaijan.
Aliyeva invited the chairman of the French National Assembly to visit Baku. The invitation was accepted with satisfaction.
Aliyeva also met with the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron. The parties discussed the problems of family and women, gender equality, education, environmental protection. Mehriban Aliyeva invited Brigitte Macron to visit Azerbaijan.
The meeting with the Minister of Economy and Finance of France, Bruno Le Mayor, discussed the possibility of France"s participation in the development of new technologies in Azerbaijan. The French minister hoped to visit Azerbaijan this year. -06D--
