Baku/31.05.18/Turan: Azer Gasimli, a member of the Mejlis of the REAL Party, who was arrested on May 29 is not allowed to meet with a lawyer or family members, reported today his wife Samira Gasimli. On May 30, she visited the detention center of the administratively arrested. She was refused a meeting, saying that the documentation in connection with the arrest was not completed. S.Gasimly offered to come on May 31 and even promised that on May 31 between 10:00 and 12:00 Azer will call home. However, the call did not follow.
After 12:00, Gasymli's husband again came to the detention center, but she was again denied a meeting, saying that there was no suitable room for the meeting. The police also said that Azer Gasimli himself refused to call home, which the husband did not believe. The administration of the detention center does not allow his lawyer Elchin Sadygov to meet with Azer Gasimov, and does not accept food brought from home to him.
A.Gasimli was arrested for 30 days of administrative arrest on charges of not subordinating the police. The REAL Party believes that the real reason for the arrest is his active participation in the festive procession on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of APR. -06D-

The closure of Azerbaijan's land borders was discussed during the parliamentary session on November 25. Such waves of refugees could lead to humanitarian, social, and cultural clashes that may threaten political stability."

On Tuesday, the General Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of new criminal cases against agricultural product exporters who allegedly concealed their earnings abroad. Specifically, the Sumgayit City Prosecutor's Office has opened a criminal case under Articles 208.2.1 and 208.2.2 (failure to return foreign currency to the country in large amounts by prior agreement of a group of individuals) and Article 308.2 (abuse of office causing serious consequences) against officials of the company "SOİL BOONS" LLC – Jahangir Aliyev, Elyar Gadzhiev, Mehman Mirzamedev, Saleh Gabilov, and Aly Aliyev.
