Azerbaijan has decided to restore the "People`s Control"
By the Decree of the President, Appeal Board has been created under the President of the country. "The Council was created to ensure the consideration of citizens and organizations appeal in the field of entrepreneurship, improving the mechanism for filing complaints to higher authorities on the decisions of central and local executive bodies, or their failure to act," stated the the decree. Administration of the President was instructed to take necessary steps to organize the activities of the Council. The Cabinet of Ministers was entrusted to solve issues arising from this decree. It is not reported what exactly will do this new structure. Apparently, this body is called upon to deal with complaints of citizens on the actions of various government agencies. In fact, the Council will have to replace the courts, although the Council's powers remain unclear. For example, it is not clear in case what steps will be taken in case of detection of any violations. The creation of such a body is the evidence that the courts do not perform their function. At the same time, the head of state has no confidence in the law enforcement agencies and other state agencies, if the claims will consider a different state agency. -02D-
