Civil society in the search for ways of revival
National Platform of Civil Society Forum of the "Eastern Partnership" of the European Union welcomes the release of the group of political prisoners, including members of this structure - Intigam Aliyev, Anar Mammadli, and Rasul Jafarov, it was announced at a meeting of the National Platform. According to Avaz Hasanov, the coordinator of the National Platform, there are still obstacles for the activity of many civil society institutions, and many of them do not work.
In turn, member of the NGO Support Council Alimammad Nuriyev said that lawsuits have stopped, bans on leaving the country for a number of NGOs leaders have been lifted. Furthermore, the basic decision was adopted to unblock in the coming days the bank accounts of NGOs and activists , and soon the courts will approve it, he said, without explaining the source of information.
He also announced the elimination of the ban on leaving the country for human rights activist Oktay Gyulalyev and steps to stop prosecution of his sons. In addition, a number of international donors have signed a memorandum with the Council for NGOs State Support to provide grants to Azerbaijani NGOs.
This will facilitate the procedure of grants to NGOs. At the same time the Council, according to Nuriyev, will not interfere in the relations between donors and beneficiaries. A number of the donors intend to directly receive registration in Azerbaijan. Nuriyev told about continuation of work for the release of other activists: Ilgar Mammadov and APFP member Asif Yusifli. At the same time, he announced the upcoming re-trial of Ilgar Mamedov.

Civil Society Forum will take place on 28-30 November in Brussels.
Applications may submit NGO member of the National Platform (59 organizations), and the new organization. At the same time, Azerbaijan will be represented by 25 delegates, 60% must be new members.
Participants of the meeting noted the importance of active participation in the Forum, in general, the opportunities of this area for the interests of the Azerbaijani society. However, this civil society needs to be strong in the country.-06D—
