Composition of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences
Baku / 08.06.18 / Turan: On June 8, within the general meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the members of the Presidium were elected.
Vice-presidents of ANAS are: Ibrahim Guliyev, Isa Habibbeyli, Tofig Nagiyev, Dilgam Tagiyev, Nargiz Pashayeva and Irada Huseynova, and academician Rasim Aliguliyev was elected academician-secretary of ANAS, the press release of the Academy stated.
Nazim Mammadov was elected Academician-Secretary of the Department of Physical, Mathematical and Technical Sciences;
Fakhraddin Gadirov - academician-secretary of the Department of Earth Sciences;
Ahliman Amiraslanov - academician-secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences;
Teymur Kerimli - academician-secretary of the Department of Humanities;
Nargiz Akhundova - academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences.
Academician Ismail Hajiyev, chairman of the Ganja department of ANAS, academician Fuad Aliyev, was elected chairman of the Nakhichevan branch of ANAS.
Corresponding Member of ANAS Bilal Bilalov was appointed Acting member of the Presidium of ANAS. -02D-

President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has invited Azerbaijani economist and political prisoner Professor Gubad Ibadoglu to Strasbourg to attend the 2024 Sakharov Prize award ceremony.
