Court of Appeal Arrests Two PFPA Activists
Baku /29.10.19 / Turan: The Baku Court of Appeal today rejected complaints about the administrative arrest of two activists of the Popular Front Party - Abdullah Mahmudov and Jabbar Savalanli. This was reported in PFPA.
Both activists were detained during an opposition rally on October 19. Mahmudov was sentenced to 30 days of arrest, and Savalanly – to 20 days.
The action on October 19 was held in the center of Baku. Police violently dispersed the rally, conducting mass detentions. More than 30 activists were sentenced to administrative arrests, including those who were detained on the eve of the rally and during it. The rally was not authorized by the city authorities. —06D--

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
