Court of Appeal in the case of "Ismayilly case " will begin on May 20
Baku/05.04.14/Turan : On 20th May the Sheki Court of Appeal chaired by judge Inshallah Guliyev will consider the preliminary hearing on the complaint of the defendants in Ismayilli events, Turan was told by the lawyer of Nemat Kerimli .
On 17th March with regards this case, 18 people were convicted for long terms, including heads of REAL Movement, Ilgar Mamedov and deputy chairman of the "Musavat", Tofig Yagublu.
International human rights organization Amnesty International recognized Yagublu and Mamedov as " prisoners of conscience."
* On 23rd-24th January, 2013 riots took place in Ismailly, the cause of which became a road accident committed by the manager of the hotel “Chirag”, who was drunk , and insulted local residents. Angry citizens set fire to the hotel "Chirag" and vandalized the villa of the head of the region. —16B06--
