National Council condemns the persecution of son of O.Gyulalyev
The National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) made a statement in which he condemned the conviction of Ali Gyulalyev , minor son of a civil society activist Oktay Gyulalyev.
The statement reads that on the eve of the presidential election October 9, 2013 Ali Gyulalyev was attacked. Then the unknown teenager beat and inflicted Ali stab wounds.
A year passed, but the perpetrators were not found. On the contrary, the victim himself was brought to justice on absurd charges of hooliganism.
On the basis of fabricated lawsuit, on October 30 A.Gyulalyev was sentenced to six months of corrective labor with 15 percent of the monthly salary.
At the same time, raises questions the legitimacy of sentencing the minor student, a student in high school, and not working.
On the other hand, the court did not conduct any investigation and ignored the testimony of witnesses, that between A.Gyulalyev and "victim" was no accident. They recognized that the primary indications given under police pressure, without the participation of the parents.
Moreover, despite the refusal of the victim to his complaint, the court ruled unfounded and politically motivated verdict. NCDF believes that this sentence is directly linked to socio-political activities Oktay Gyulalyev. NCDF condemns conviction of his son, and encourages higher authority to cancel this "illegal sentence."
NCDF also notes that on April 8, 2012 against Oktay Gyulalyev was filed a lawsuit because he defended the rights of citizens affected by floods.
This case, contrary to the requirements of the legislation, has not yet been terminated and not yet canceled measure - being under the supervision of the police, and he was banned from leaving the country.
NCDF condemns this attitude of the authorities towards their opponents and their families, and calls on to stop it, and create normal conditions for social and political activities in the country. -06D--
