Rector of Baku University appeals to Obama

Former rector of the private International University in Baku, Elsa Adulate, appealed to U.S. President Barrack Obama to put pressure on the government of Azerbaijan, to find and punish those responsible for kidnapping his brother Maher Adulate, an officer of the National Security Ministry.

Abdullayev called on Azerbaijanis to support him and join the campaign to collect signatures on a petition to the U.S. president: "Dear compatriots! I ask you to join a campaign to collect signatures. For 10 years my brother, an officer of the Ministry of National Security, Mahir Abdullayev, was kidnapped by an organized criminal organization , the "Death Squads". Because this organized criminal organization  is  under the care of Ramiz Mehdiyev, the head of the Presidential Administration, neither perpetrators, nor those or  ordered the crime are  . In Azerbaijan, there is complete impunity, a country in a state of crisis, legal and  human rights are totally violated. Instead of solving the problems the Azerbaijani government haunts the victims."

His first victim became a member of parliament, Gular Ahmedova, who was arrested as the main person involved in the first 800 videos, shot with a hidden camera by  Abdullayev.  On the videos she was bargaining with Abdullayev on behalf  of  Ramiz Mehdiyev about the deputy's mandate, and, in the end, after four months of publicity the  compromising material, recently  she was arrested on charges of fraud.

Sevinj Babayeva, partner of Ahmedova  in crime, who was also involved in that scandal, died in December at the Istanbul hospital, according to family members, as a result of poisoning.
