Red Cross Workers Visit Armenian Family
On 14 September, the Baku office of the Red Cross visited the Armenian Gevorgyan family of five, who asked for asylum in Azerbaijan.
The family requests to send them to a third country.
Yeghishe Gevorgyan, head of the family, with his wife and three children literally broke through the border in his car in January 2010. Then Gevorgyan explained his actions resulted from the impossibility of living in Armenia because of the difficult socio-economic situation there. -16B-

November 8 is celebrated as Victory Day in Azerbaijan. In 2020, Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity through a 44-day war and a one-day military operation in 2023.
