Vardanyan complains about those who fled from Karabakh and is preparing to introduce food stamps
Baku/08.01.23/Turan: The "State Minister" of Karabakh Ruben Vardanyan addressed the population on January 8, announcing preparations for the introduction of food coupons. He also accused some wealthy people of leaving Karabakh during these difficult days, News.am reported.
Without caling names, he noted that 90% of the population of Karabakh calmly perceive the situation, but there are "several incidents that are unacceptable."
In particular, he said that some people exchange gasoline for bread, although it must be donated to the general fund, since gasoline is needed for ambulances.
He further accused the store owners of distributing goods to their relatives and acquaintances.
“We are all in the same boat and should share everything,” he said and added that on Monday he would hold a meeting where the issue of introducing food coupons would be decided.
Today, the “Security Service” of Karabakh appealed to the population not to publish messages on social networks about the shortage of food and other goods in the region.
At the same time, it is reported about the termination of classes in the schools of the region.
In Armenia itself, on January 8, members of a number of pro-Western organizations organized a protest in front of Russia's 102nd military base in Gyumri. They tried to blockade the base, but were driven back by the police. The protesters demanded that Russia unblock the Lachin corridor.
Recall that today is the 28th day of the action of Azerbaijani civil society activists on the Lachin road near Shusha. They demand to stop the illegal exploitation of gold mines in Karabakh by the separatists and establish Azerbaijani control on the Lachin road.
