“Endless Corridor” - a film about the Khojaly tragedy on Swedish TV

Baku / 26.02.20 / Turan: On February 26 at 21:30 local time on Swedish Public Television (Öppne Kanalen) a documentary film by Lithuanian filmmakers “Endless Corridor” dedicated to the Khojaly tragedy will be shown.

The initiator of the show is the head of the Scandinavian bureau of the Baku Press Club, Ragim Sadigbeyli, who is also the main producer of the Azerbaijan TV program on Öppne Kanalen.

In the film by producer Alexandras Brokas, two journalists - Lithuanian Richardas Lapaitis and Russian Victoria Ivleva, return to Azerbaijan 20 years later to find out what happened to the people who survived the events in Khojalyv in February 1992. They are accompanied by local journalist Shain Hajiyev.

There are no acting, production scenes in the film; all the scenes are real, archival materials are partially used.  

The film was first shown in London in 2014 and received many international awards.

“We thank the producer Alexandras Brokas on behalf of our organizations and the people of Azerbaijan for providing the right to demonstrate the film without any conditions,” Rahimov said.

The full-length 52-minute film will be aired in prime time English at 21.30 Swedish time.  

The voiceover is read by the famous English actor, Oscar winner Jeremy Irons. 

In Sweden alone, 700,000 families will be able to watch the film. However, it can be viewed in other countries, including Azerbaijan, according to this link, since Öppne kanalen broadcasts are broadcast via satellite, cable broadcasting, as well as online through social networks in real time.
