The land area of the state breeding farm for dairy farming Yalama is exhibited at the competition. Until June 17th, applicants must submit investment proposals as to cultivate the land, and to create a modern livestock and dairy farms.
The State Land and Cartography Committee told Turan that the farm is located in Khachmaz and it has 523 hectares of land in constant use. Under the terms of the contest, the land will be available for rent for 49 years. Rents will be 10 460 manat per year. On behalf of the state the lessor is the executive power of Khachmaz.
To participate in the competition persons having experience in the creation and management of modern livestock farms are invited. In the new economy there must be built a new livestock complex, a system of rainwater irrigation, a paved road, and the necessary engineering infrastructure.
In addition to its own funds, the investor will receive subsidized loans from the government.
The contest is held in accordance with the decree number 254 for the Cabinet dated 12 September 2013.
Prior to this in Azerbaijan several large grain farms were created by providing a long-term land lease from the state reserve fund. The government expects to increase agricultural production and ensure food security through the formation of large farms. For this plan more than 160 thousand public lands will be used next few years. A draft law "On Cooperation in Agriculture" has been also prepared and is to be adopted in the third reading. -08B-
