Azerbaijan and Indonesia to cooperate in energy field
Azerbaijan and Indonesia have been working on the draft of memorandum on mutual understanding in field of energy and mineral resources cooperation, reported the Azerbaijan Energy Ministry.
The draft document has been discussed at the meeting between Azerbaijan Energy Minister Natig Abbasov and newly appointed Ambassador of Indonesia Khusnan Wanani.
At the meeting Abbasov said that Azerbaijan is interested in expansion of energy cooperation with Indonesia.
“From this viewpoint the memorandum on mutual understanding in field of energy and mineral resources cooperation will become an important intergovernmental document. Indonesia has submitted its latest proposals on the draft document and work on the document is coming to the end,” Abbasov added.
The sides have also discussed the possibilities of investments into the Azerbaijani oil and gas industry, exchange of experience and the possibilities of increase in oil export to Indonesia.
Indonesian Energy Ministry has urged the state-run oil company Pertamina to invest capital into the oil and gas projects of Azerbaijan.—0—
