BAKU CITY CENTER TO BE RESTORED
    BAKU/03.09.10/TURAN: Several areas in Baku will be restored soon. Schemes and concepts will be worked out for this. A group of Azerbaijani young architects headed by the British specialist, Zeki Giyasi, from McBains Cooper will elaborate the first of these projects. The project will be financially supported by the World Bank and submitted to the State Urban Construction and Architecture Committee this year.
     The area surrounded by Narimanov Avenue, Azerbaijan Avenue, Bakikhanov Street and Nizami Street will be restored first. Giyasi said the project would be implemented, taking into account the city"s architecture, history, ecology and population. The residents" opinions will be taken into account.
     The Baku city center has been restored since 2008. ---------08B
