Public Sector Provided Growth in Number of Workers Employed
Baku/09.09.13/Turan : As of August 1 this year, the economy has registered 1,490,800 people who have employment contracts with their employers. The number of employees since the beginning of this year increased by 13,100 persons or 0.8 %. Turan was the Committee said.
In July, the number of workers employed in the economy grew by 500 people from the public sector. As of August 1, 2013 the public sector employed 894,600 people. It's 2800 people, more than at the beginning of July. From the beginning, the number of workers employed in the private sector increased by 17,600 people and made 596,200 people. In this July in the private sector employees was 2 300 less.
In the field of education in June labored 22.8 % , industrial plants - 12.2% , trade facilities and repair of vehicles - 18.8 %, construction - 7.0% of the employed persons . - 08D-

The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAR) reported revenues of $4.60 billion from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil field in the January-September period of 2024, a decline of 12.1% compared to the same period last year. In 2023, SOFAR recorded revenues of $5.23 billion from ACG, the largest oil field in Azerbaijan.

Silk production in Azerbaijan decreased by 32.9% year-on-year in the first eight months of 2024, reaching 239.4 tons, according to data released by the State Statistics Committee. The decline was attributed to a reduction in the number of silkworm seeds distributed to farmers, reflecting a longer-term trend in the sector's contraction, noted agricultural expert Vahid Maharramov.
