SOCAR decided to take measures to ensure industrial safety in worst oil & gas production company
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has approved the plan of measures for years 2015 and 2016 to ensure industrial safety at Narimanov oil and gas production company.
SOCAR press office reported that the plan of measures has been adopted at the session devoted to safe operation of objects at the Narimanov oil and gas production company and upgrade of the existing infrastructure.
The program envisages reduction of investments into the main capital and increase of expenses for repair of the oil & gas production company in 2015 and 2016.
The program also includes the works related to preparation of the projects, repair of several old sites, installation of car houses, construction of reserve platforms, construction of oil and gas lines between the sea foundations, construction of gas distribution systems and energy supply systems on the platforms.
In October-November 2014 there were two accidents at the Narimanov oil and gas production company – collapse of constructions during repair works on the platform No 441 and collapse of the 60-meters-tall pier between the foundations No 310 and 312. Five people have died in the accidents.—0--

According to official statistics from Azerbaijan, bilateral trade in 2023 reached 3.1 billion US dollars.
