SOCAR started preparation of site to build new bitumen installation at oil refinery
SOCAR has started preparation to construction of a new bitumen installation at the Baku-based oil refinery named after Heydar Aliyev, reported SOCAR.
“The site on the territory of sulfur production installation, construction of which has not been completed, has been selected for the bitumen installation. The facilities located on this section have been dismantled, metallic wastes gathered and moved,” said the same source.
The company reported that the area allocated for the bitumen construction has been cleaned from wastes using cranes, bulldozers and other machinery and the digging work has been done as well.
In mid-2018 SOCAR plans to put into operation a new bitumen installation on the oil refinery. The project will be implemented jointly with Austrian Porner GmbH company. Construction of a new bitumen installation will allow establishing production of high quality bitumen.
