State agricultural enterprises will be reformed
State agricultural enterprises, which number over 40, will be reformed. Some of them, those who are working at a loss, will be privatized, said today Turan Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilham Guliyev.
At the first stage it is planned to privatize three companies. The process could begin by the end of this year, with state-owned agricultural enterprises specializing in crop and livestock production, working on the principles of cost accounting. However, the Ministry of Agriculture has prepared and submitted to the government a package of proposals for their improvement, "said ministry spokesman.
On the balance of state-owned agricultural enterprises have more than 100 thousand hectares of land. Their work, which should be directed to the formation of seed and breeding stock breeding, the development of the agricultural sector in the country is palpable.
