28 journalists killed in 2013

From January 2013 to the present day in the world, 28 journalists have been killed during their duty. This is stated in the press release of the international organization in defense of the press, Reporters without Borders.

 
Most of the media workers were killed in Syria - 7, six were killed in Pakistan, three - in Brazil, two in Egypt, and two in India, Mexico and Somalia each.
 
One journalist was killed in Honduras, Paraguay, Congo, and Russia each.
 
In the prisons of various countries there are 177 reporters, 14 media assistants and 164 bloggers. Of these, about 10 people are in Azerbaijan.
 
As highlighted in the report, in 2012 most journalists were killed during their duty since 1995 - 88 people (or 33% more than in 2011).
 
879 members of the press were arrested, 193 people were in prison, 1,993 people were subjected to threats and physical violence, 38 reporters were kidnapped, and 73 journalists were forced to leave their country. -02D-
