Iranian Foreign Ministry advised citizens not to go to Georgia
Tehran/11.12.18/Turan: Georgian Ambassador to Iran Yoseb Chakhvashvili was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in connection with the deportation of 200 Iranian citizens from Georgia. According to the ambassador, he intends to go to Tbilisi to find out the reasons for this, the IRNA news agency reported.
According to the same source, the representative of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Bahram Kasemi, called on the citizens of the country to refrain from visiting Georgia because of the threat to their security.
Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that 200 people were deported due to the lack of necessary documents or because of the actions of travel agencies.
The Georgian side did not comment on the statement by the Iranian Foreign Ministry. -02D-
