Yerevan for normalizing relations with Ankara - Mnatsakanyan

Baku / 11.12.18 / Turan: Yerevan supports the normalization of relations with Ankara, Armenia"s acting Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan at a meeting with a group of Turkish journalists in Yerevan.

According to him, the victory of Nikol Pashinyan"s bloc in the early parliamentary elections will open the way for reforms in Armenia. He expressed confidence that negotiations on the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia will soon receive a new impetus.

"We stand for the normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia. This should be a long process. Undesirable events have taken place between the two countries in the past, however we support negotiations without preconditions. This may seem difficult, but in the relations of the two countries it is necessary to chart a new path," Anadolu quotes Mnatsakanyan.

According to him, the Armenians do not have a bias towards the Turks.

"What happened between the two countries in the past should not be repeated," Mnatsakanyan stressed. According to the minister, Turkey and Armenia have enough potential to solve problems. -02D-
