Moscow and Baku are going to sign new trade and economic agreements
Baku / 27.08.18 / Turan: Moscow and Baku are preparing a package of documents to expand economic cooperation between the two countries, Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov said last week. According to him, Moscow also expects the creation of joint ventures with Russian participation, the agency RIA reported.
According to the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, from January to June 2018, exports to the Russian Federation totaled $ 349.23 million, up 5.76% over the same period in the first half of 2017. The volume of imports of products from Russia to Azerbaijan, in turn, amounted to 788.21 million dollars, which is by 0.29% higher than over the same period of the first six months of 2017.
Earlier sources in Moscow and Baku reported that an official visit by Ilham Aliyev to Moscow was scheduled for August 30. Apparently, within the framework of the visit, a number of bilateral documents on cooperation in the economic and commercial sphere will be signed. -02D-
