Baku / 20.06.19 / Turan: A meeting of the Japan-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce will take place in November of this year, the Japanese Ambassador Turiuki Katori told reporters.
According to him, bilateral economic ties mainly develop in the field of energy and are more connected with the oil sector. Therefore, the upcoming meeting will discuss the development of relations in the non-oil sector - agriculture, tourism and information technology.
Responding to a question about the possibility of simplifying the visa regime for Azerbaijani citizens, the Ambassador noted that work is being done in general on the development of cooperation in the field of tourism. The Ambassador noted that the number of tourists in both directions is growing.
"This year, as a result of the simplification of visa procedures by Azerbaijan, the number of tourists from Japan increased by 20% compared to last year," Katori said. -16D-
