21 lawsuits have been filed on Ganja events
Baku / 13.07.18 / Turan: After the attempt on the head of Ganja Elmar Veliyev and open calls for terrorism, 21 lawsuits have been filed, three people were arrested, stated the official report of the law enforcement agencies of the country. Persons who have committed open calls for terrorism and are abroad are declared international wanted, the same message says.
25 people were arrested in administrative order, for calls to illegal actions, the same message says. In this case, specific names are not called.
On July 3, a native of Ganja, Russian citizen Yunis Safarov, shot with gunshot and seriously wounded the head of the city of Ganja, Elmar Veliyev, and his bodyguard Gasym Ashbazov.
Law enforcers declared this crime a terrorist act committed on religious grounds.
However, many residents of Azerbaijan in social networks justified Safarov's act, since Veliyev for many years publicly humiliated and insulted the residents of Ganja.
A protest action demanding to dismiss Veliyev took place in Ganja on July 10 by the appeal through social networks, and resulted in clashes with the police, where two senior police officers were killed. -06D-
