On July 3, a native of Ganja, Russian citizen Yunis Safarov, shot with gunshot and seriously wounded the head of the city of Ganja, Elmar Veliyev, and his bodyguard Gasym Ashbazov.
Law enforcers declared this crime a terrorist act committed on religious grounds.
However, many residents of Azerbaijan in social networks justified Safarov's act, since Veliyev for many years publicly humiliated and insulted the residents of Ganja.
