Baku/28.12.13/Turan : 46 -year-old Arzu Sultan oglu Alekperov December 28 evening committed self-immolation . It happened near the metro station Khalglar Dostlugu along the road towards the village of Yeni Guneshli . The Interior Ministry confirmed the fact .
The reasons for self-immolation of Alekperov are investigated, this department's functionaries reported.
The man was brought to the fifth hospital with multiple burn injuries. Alekperov's condition , as reported in the hospital, is characterized as serious.
This is the second self-immolation attempt in Baku for the last 4 days.
Previously, a disabled Karabakh War veteran Zaur Hasanov December 25 attempted self-immolation in front of the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation in the center of Baku. In this way he expressed his protest against the confiscation of a cafe belonging to him.
