A 62-year-old Yusuf Amirov climbed on the road bridge at metro station "Keroglu" today about 16:00. According to sources in law enforcement, he protested against the unjust persecution by the police, and wanted to throw himself. According to eyewitnesses, he announced that he spent in jail 14 years, and after his release he was again persecuted.
A man stood in the middle of the bridge, that caused a many kilometer traffic jam - at the most important route to the airport. While rescuers tried to persuade the man the traffic remained blocked. Eventually the man has admitted to rescuers to himself, who tied him and lowered by ropes.
Amirov was hospitalized, he was not hurt, according to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. -03B-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
