The Center for Protection of Freedom of Religion and Belief (DEVAMM) welcomed the release of political prisoners in recent years the group. The organization expects the release of the leader of the REAL Movement Ilgar Mamedov, journalist Khadija Ismayilova and other political prisoners.

DEVAMM regrets that sometimes different approach is observed in the civil society to the political prisoners, and the rights of faithful are not protected. This is - "a reflection of the global Islamophobic trend, which appeared under the influence of some representatives of the bureaucracy and civil society."
