E.Hasanov: Azerbaijan has more than 100 political prisoners
Political Prisoners Monitoring Center issued a new list of political prisoners, including 103 names. From the new list of names were excluded names of 14 political prisoners pardoned on March 17 as well as six others (Rauf Mirkadirov, Intigam Aliyev, Nazim Agabekova and three Nur members), their terms were replaced with a suspended sentence. In the new list, there are journalists and bloggers - Abdul Abilov, Nijat Aliyev, Khadija Ismayilova, Seymour Hazy, Araz Guliyev, Tofig Hasanov, Faraj Karimov and Rashad Ramazanov.
In addition, in the list of one human rights activist lawyer Aliabbas Rustamov, a youth activist, member of "NIDA" Ilkin Rustamzade, opposition activists - Ilgar Mammadov, Fuad Gahramanli, Mahammad Ibrahim Asif Yusifli, Gadir Hudabahshiev, Elvin Abdullayev Zeynalabdin Bagirzade and Nazim Mahmudov.
A large group of the faithful, which is divided into several subgroups: condemned in the "case of Said Dadashbeyli", in the case of the leader of the Islamic Party Movsum Samedov, the so-called "prisoners of hijab", who were arrested for protesting in Masalli, Nur, theologians, and others.
In addition, in the list of the convicts for life are former members OPON - Elchin Amiraslanov, Arif Kazimov, Safa Poladov.
Also on the list is the name of ex-minister Ali Insanov, Nijat Guliyev and others. Another 25 new names are the accused by the latest "Nardaran events." According to Elshan Hasanov, the head of the Political Prisoners Monitoring Center, they were included on the list because of a violation of the Articles of the European Convention 2 (prohibition of torture), 6 (right to a fair trial), 9 (Freedom of thought, conscience and religion), and others. "In fact, the number of the arrested in this case is higher. We have included in the list those on the cases of which we have information, " said Hasanov.-06B-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
