Forecast of Jamil Hasanli on Future Composition of Parliament Justified
The forecast of the future composition of the Milli Majlis made on 9 October was justified by 96%.
Recall that the President of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli published a list of MPs who would be "assigned" to the Milli Majlis of the 5th convocation.
In the absence of democratic conditions, the composition of the deputies changed little and the results of the "elections" were predetermined.
As Hasanli said then, the parliament will get 25 new people, and all the other members will retain their mandates. Among those who will lose parliamentary seats, he called the head of the party Umid Igbal Agazadeh, the brother of the Minister of Transport Elton Mammadov, a relative of Sheikh Ghalib Salahzadeh, and the son of the former Deputy Prime Minister Aydin Abbasov. Among the new recruits he called the opposition member Panah Huseyn, a former opposition leader Tahir Kerimli, the chairman of the Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh, the journalist Ilhamiyya Rzayeva, and the doctor Rashad Mahmudov.
From this forecast only the names of Panah Huseyn, Ilhamiyya Rzayeva and Ilyas Ismayilov did not come true.
Commenting for Turan the forecasts, Hasanli said that Ilyas Ismayilov, apparently, was not excused for the fact that he did not recognize the results of the presidential elections in 2013.
As for the rest, the non-election of Panah Huseyn demonstrates the unwillingness of the authorities to have even a single opposition member in parliament. This is despite the fact that Huseyn had been a deputy from the same district and worked actively to promote dialogue between the authorities and the opposition, said Hasanli.
The inclusion of Araz Alizadeh in the parliament and the removal of Igbal Agazadeh from there has underlying causes related to changes in the government, said the head of the National Council.
As for Ilhamiyya Rzayeva, she was a representative of the Bloc of 125, which was a project of the authorities to make manipulation of elections and create the impression of political pluralism. However, on the eve of the election the forces behind this project lost positions in the government that buried the project Bloc of 125. -03B-
