French Embassy Opened Memory Book
On July 18-19, the French Embassy in Baku opened a memory book in connection with the July 15 assault in Nice, which killed 84 people, among them 38 foreigners.
Those who wished to make an entry in the book came to the Embassy and laid flowers at the entrance to the building.
The Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov visited the French Embassy yesterday. He made a record in the memory book. The French Ambassador expressed gratitude to Azerbaijani citizens for their solidarity and moral support. -02B-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
