Ilkin Rustamzade put in solitary confinement
A member of the NIDA Movement Ilkin Rustamzade serving a prison sentence was placed in solitary confinement, Turan was told by his lawyer Khalid Bagirov, who visited Rustamzade on November 27 in Baku prison. According to the lawyer, the reason for this was the article by Rustamzade criticizing the activities of the Joint Working Group on Human Rights. "There was a search in his cell, and a knife for cutting bread was taken away. He was placed for seven days to a punishment cell, and four days have already passed," said the lawyer. Investigation is ongoing due to the found knife.
* Ilkin Rustamzade was arrested in March last year, along with seven members of NIDA Movement. They were charged with organizing mass riots. Rustamzade was sentenced to eight years imprisonment. Amnesty International recognized him and other members of NIDA as prisoners of conscience. -16D04-
