Lunar eclipse will last almost for four hours
Baku / 26.07.18 / Turan: On the night of 27 to 28 July there will be a total eclipse of the moon. In Azerbaijan, this process will be fully observed,Khidir Mikailov, Deputy Director of the Shamakha Astrophysical Observatory, National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, told Turan According to him, the eclipse of the moon will last 3 hours 56 minutes, and a total eclipse will last 1 hour 43 minutes. This is the longest eclipse in the last 100 years. The eclipse will begin on July 27 at 22.24.27 on the Baku time. In this case, the total eclipse will begin at 23.30.15 and finish at 00.21.44 on July 28. During the eclipse, the moon will turn to a dark reddish-brown color. The current eclipse is called the central equatorial and will be visible on most of the Earth. In addition to the lunar eclipse, in the morning of July 28, about 8 hours, Mars will approach the Earth at the closest distance - 57.8 million km. This rapprochement occurs every 15-17 years.
