Migrants will be registered by the receiving party
Registration of foreigners arriving in Azerbaijan for more than a month has been simplified. Today's session of the Milli Mejlis adopted amendments to the laws on the documents of foreigners living in Azerbaijan, stateless persons and foreigners staying in Azerbaijan for more than 30 days, as well as the law on the registration of residence.
According to Ali Huseynli, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, some provisions complicate the life of foreign visitors. "It is unlikely that they are interested in the issues on coordination of migration service with other State Service", he said.
Now, according to the simplifications, landlords, managers of hotels, holiday homes, resorts, guest houses, campsites, hostels, health centers, etc. should submit to the relevant executive organ within three working days a copy of the passport of the foreigner. According to the MP Zahid Oruj, earlier under executive authority was implied exclusively Immigration Service, now all agencies inviting a foreigners are considered executive authority.
After making an appeal the foreign should be registered at the place of residence and within 48 hours shall be notified by the appropriate government agency on registration. Registration of persons entering the country, and getting visa for entry, is done for a period specified in the visa.
Registration of persons whose entry to Azerbaijan does not require a visa permit is valid for 90 days. Earlier, the term of registration period for citizens visiting Azerbaijan without a visa, provided for 30 days.
The state duty for registration at the place of residence (stay), under the new rules, will not be charged. In case of delay foreigner or a stateless person shall notify the relevant executive organ. -17D-

In the last two days, a "news" story appeared on TikTok about a whale spotted on Baku's seaside boulevard. The most "observant" users posted videos, commenting on the size of the animal. Later, other "witnesses" claimed it wasn't a whale, but a shark. Even later, a version emerged suggesting it was a submarine.
